Dog owner kicks friend out of their home after he purposely neglects their doggo while staying as a guest, proving that sometimes furry friends are better than hoomans

There are quite a few ways to measure a good friendship and decide whether or not a friend is worth keeping around.

For spirited animal lovers, the way people treat animals, especially four-legged furry friends, helps determine whether they are people you want to have in your life or not. We are not saying that they should be vegan and care for animals more than they care for people (even though we are happily guilty of that), but there is a certain kindness that people need to show animals in order for us to feel comfortable with them, and unfortunately, not every hooman passes that test. 

When we invite friends over to our house, for example, it is crucial that we feel comfortable with leaving them around our doggos and cattos, and not have to worry for one second. If we cannot trust them around our most beloved fluffy friends, we cannot trust them at all, and we are much better off apart.

That is what happened to the hooman in this story after they opened their home for a (hooman) friend in need. Their friend needed a place to stay after losing his job, but as he was staying at this dog owner's home, he proved he was not trustworthy around the doggo of the house, and that was not something the dog (and home) owner was willing to put up with.   • If you are staying at a friend's house, the least you can do is be kind to the residents of that home, which includes the furry residents. Those fluffy friends are as part of that home as their hoomans, and they deserve to be treated with the same respect. 

    Being so dismissive of a doggo in his own home is such a red flag, we could never continue a friendship with a person who treats a dog like the friend in this story. We are so glad the dog owner thought the same thing. 

    Next time you are staying at a friend's place, or you welcome someone to your own home, take note. This is a lesson to be learned about friendship, loyalty, and gratitude, all to be learned from a loyal dog owner and their life-long companion. We are inspired.
